Just finished the Enigma Cipher Challenge which was immensely satisfying and educational. I may be trying my hand at some of the other challenges although they do look more difficult.įor me, this is the best web site bar none for all things crypto. It was fun to learn how to operate the KL-7 simulator and to decrypt realistic OTP messages. I check back frequently to see what's been updated, and found the Operation Tinkerbell challenge, which I just successfully completed. I had a lot of fun participating in this challenge which made me discover a lot of things, about the Enigma, but also about programming, not to mention the fact that the messages are "real" messages from historical interest. ![]() Thanks to Dirk for this fascinating and well-documented site concerning encryption machines, including the Enigma, which has always fascinated me.
